What’s Style Got To Do With It?

Part I of a three-part workshop series, this workshop can be taken individually or together with Myself As A Trust Builder and When Trust Meets Style.

Session Description:
Theorists contend that our behavioral style is determined by our brain function – how we are wired. It determines how we perceive our world, how we think, feel, act, and who we choose as friends. Since we are all wired differently, our behavioral style differences can get in the way of developing positive and productive relationships. By learning about behavioral styles represented by five geometric shapes (Box, Circle, Rectangle, Squiggle or Triangle), you will recognize your behavioral style, the styles of others and learn how to ‘flex’ your style to complement and supplement that of others – be they bosses, colleagues, customers or friends.

Session Objectives:
At the end of this highly interactive session, you will:

  • Understand the five Psycho-Geometrics® shapes and the behavioral styles associated with each shape
  • Identify your own behavioral style and understand why you respond to others the way you do
  • Identify the behavioral style of others
  • Apply the Psycho-Geometrics® method to deal with others more effectively, improve the way you interact thus enhancing business and personal relationships

Myself As A Trustbuilder

Part II of a three-part workshop series, this workshop can be taken individually or together with What's Style Got To Do With It and When Trust Meets Style.

Session Description:
Participants engage in activities that expand their awareness of trust behaviors. The focus is on helping individuals see themselves as trust builders in their personal or professional lives.

Session Objectives:
At the end of this highly-interactive session, you will be able to:

  • Identify behaviors that influence trust
  • Identify the four elements of Trust
  • Identify your strengths and challenges in building trust

Audience:

  • Individuals who would like to learn more about building and maintaining trusting relationships in their personal or professional lives

 

When Trust Meets Style

Part III of a three-part workshop series, this workshop can be taken individually ortogether with What's Style Got To Do With It and Myself As A Trust Builder.

Session Description: Experts agree that trust is a critical ingredient in effective relationships, be they personal or professional. Many people are not aware of how their behavior influences the building of a trusting relationship. This program combines the knowledge of the five behavioral styles with the four elements of trust giving the participants the ability to analyze and change to behaviors that will aid in the development of trusting relationships.

Session Objectives:
At the end of this highly-interactive session, you will be able to:

  • Identify behaviors that influence trust
  • Identify your strengths and challenges in building trust
  • Follow a personal plan for modifying behavior that will lead to building and maintaining trusting relationships

Difficult Dialogue

Session Description:
Effectively working with others often depends on our ability to engage in honest and open conversations about a variety of topics, many of which can be uncomfortable and difficult to discuss. Knowing that our differences routinely cause misperceptions and misunderstandings it is essential to develop and, through regular practice, to maintain the skills and openness necessary for addressing issues of difference.

It is important to realize that Difficult Dialogue is called difficult for a reason. Engaging in it takes willingness, effort and definitely time. This training does not center on specific examples of random, challenging conversation on uncomfortable topics. Instead this program is formatted to be a facilitated and highly engaging process of discovery and self-exploration.

Session Objectives:
The participants will come away from this training with a practical understanding of the communication skills necessary for:

  • Exploring differences in communication styles and skills
  • Experiencing different ways of approaching discussions of difficult subjects
  • Examining factors that contribute to having productive dialogues or obstructing the process
  • Examining in a real-time dialogue about diversity issues

Emotional Intelligence & Diversity

Session Summary:
Emotional intelligence describes the ability to identify, assess, and manage the emotions of one's self, of others and of groups. This highly interactive course provides participants an opportunity to apply principles of Emotional Intelligence to approaching issues of diversity in the workplace and developing/strengthening leadership skills.

Spanish For Manufacturing

Session Description:
According to OSHA, the language barrier is responsible for 1 in 4 accidents in the workplace.

With the high percentage of Latinos working in the manufacturing industry, and a large disparity in accident and fatality rates for Latino and non-Latino workers, it’s increasingly important to be able to communicate about basic topics in Spanish.

While limited English skills, low levels of formal education and cultural differences can indeed present challenges in the workplace, these challenges are not insurmountable.
